Registration Information

Please read the following registration policies carefully:

  • Each accepted paper (full, short, poster, demo, and workshop) must be accompanied by ONE registration.
  • An author of multiple papers can use the same registration form with the following constraints: each accepted paper must be presented by a registered author at the conference; otherwise, we reserve the right to remove the non-presented papers (by the registered author) from ACM digital library. (Note: If an author with multiple workshop papers, the author needs to register with the highest priced workshop registration fee and the author can attend other workshops with accepted papers for free.)
  • An author presenting a conference and a workshop paper should pay both conference and workshop registration fees (one for each) or pay the conference+workshop package registration fee.
  • Paid author registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances once camera-ready papers are submitted/uploaded.
  • For each accepted paper, at least ONE author must register by September 9, 2013 to secure the paper in the CIKM 2013 Program and Proceedings.

The early rate is valid until August 21. After that, the regular rate applies until October 26, followed by the onsite rate.

Full conference registration includes:

Workshop registration includes electronic workshop proceedings, lunch and coffee breaks.

Tutorial registration includes tutorial notes, lunch and coffee breaks.

To qualify for member rates, you must be a member of ACM, ACM SIGIR, ACM SIGWEB. There are discounts for students and ACM/SIG student members. You will need a valid ACM/SIG Id to qualify for ACM member rates. At the conference, a student will need to present a valid Full-time Student ID with current registration marked clearly or a verification letter from their department head certifying student status.

Terms of Payment

All fees should be paid in advance in US dollars, using credit card (AMEX, Mastercard, or Visa). Full payment must be included with registration. Partial payments and purchase orders for future payment will not be accepted.

Wire transfers are permitted. Wire transfer instructions are provided on the checkout and confirmation pages during the registration process. If paying by wire transfer, your registration will be regarded as incomplete until we have received full payment of your outstanding registration fees.

Terms of Cancellation

Requests for registration cancellation must be made in writing and mailed to the following address:

All requests for refunds will be processed after the CIKM 2013 conference. Refunds will be made in accordance with the following schedule:

  • Cancellations received on or before August 31, 2013, will receive a full refund minus a $100 processing fee.
  • Cancellations received from August 31, 2013 through September 20, 2013 will receive a 50% refund minus a $100 processing fee.
  • No refunds will be made for requests received after September 20, 2013.
  • No refund for authors of accepted papers will be honored in any case.

Visa Support Letter

The association does not issue formal invitation letters for visas. We can however issue a visa support letter. For visa support letters, please send all requests to [email protected]. Those requesting a letter should allow up to one week to receive it, as requests are handled in the order they are received. The information below should be included with the request:

  • Name (as it appears on your passport) and mailing address.
  • The name of the conference you wish to attend.
  • Include your registration confirmation number
  • If you are the author of any papers accepted for the conference, please provide the title. If you are a speaker, please provide the title/topic of your speech.
  • Include a fax number or email address of where we can send the letter.
